Atalaya - Alaya Tierra

Produced by Gil Family Estates through the Bodegas Atalaya brand, the wine Alaya Tierra comes from southwestern Spanish region of Almansa.

A rare varietal Garnacha Tintorera (aka Alicante Bouschet), this Spanish red wine is made from very old vines grown in sandy-limestone soils at an altitude of 1,000 metres above sea level.

After a meticulous manual harvest, the grapes were macerated and fermented in stainless steel tanks.

Malolactic fermentation was carried out in new French and American oak barrels. After that, the wine Alaya Tierra 2023 was aged in the barrels for over a period of 15 months.
